NFL: Week 3 Bold Predictions, Who are you taking?

Giants vs Eagles: Eagles win by 7

  • Key points: Giants O-Line facing massive problems
  • Giants offense still unsure what they’re capable of, Marshall and run game has been poor.
  • Eagles bounce back from week 2 loss in home opener, Eagles went 6-2 at home last season
  • Eagles need to establish run game from start, Sproles or Blount?
  • Eagles need to protect Wentz
  • Eagles defense holds Giants offense, rush Eli from start, set up better opportunities for Eagles offense
  • Expect to see both QB’s doing a lot of scrambling out of the pocket.

NYG: Janoris Jenkins, J.T. Thomas III 

PHI: Caleb Sturgis, Ronald Darby  

Atlanta vs Detroit: Atlanta wins by 6

  • Key points: Atlanta exploiting Lions secondary
  • Matt Ryan has thrown for a TD in 21 consecutive games and is 3-1 vs Lions
  • Atlanta WR options will come in handy today
  • Julio Jones will see more attention, open up the field for Sanu, Gabriel, and Hooper
  • Detroit defense can get to Ryan early and hold off this Atlanta offense, Detroit offense is more than capable of stealing a game
  • Detroit first “tough” team they are seeing all year, heading in 2-0, Lions have a target on their back
  • Detroit’s offense has to match Atlanta’s offense
  • Expect to see a high scoring game

NFLTampa vs Minnesota: Tampa wins by 7

  • Key points: Sam Bradford is OUT, backup Case Keenum will start today
  • Buccaneers have won six of their last seven games against the Vikings
  • Tampa Bay gets to Keenum early and makes the first half a nightmare for him, make things easier for a Tampa win
  • Winston continues to show signs of improvement, big game for this offense against a tough Minnesota defense
  • It won’t be a cakewalk for Tampa’s offense, but the more Tampa’s defense shuts down Keenum and Diggs, easier it will be
  • A win for Minnesota relies solely on their defense
  • Expect to see a big game from Tampa’s offense

TB: Gerald McCoy, Brent Grimes 

MIN: Sam Bradford

Houston vs New England: New England wins by 10

  • A few question marks on the wide receiving end for New England leaves some wary on an easy win
  • Tom Brady leads charge and does Brady things
  • New England has Hogan, Gronkowski, Amendola, and Burkhead questionable
  • James White and New England RB will be big pass catchers today
  • Houston’s defense needs to get to Brady early, Watt, Clowney will see a ton of volume
  • Houston’s DeShaun Watson’s 2nd start comes against the former Super Bowl champs
  • Expect to see New England RB’s get a lot of attention and Houston’s WR to not be great options for fantasy today

NE: A lot of WR, Dante Hightower, Stephon Gilmore 

HOU: Will Fuller V, Kevin Johnson 

NFLMiami vs Jets: Miami wins by 10

  • Key points: Jay Ajayi will look to run all over this Jets team
  • Jets offense will continue to struggle and be a viable offense
  • Miami’s offense will need to score quick and easy to leave no room for life for the Jets
  • Jets defense needs to stop Ajayi and hold off Stills and Parker
  • Jets get to Cutler early and slow him down, leave some life for the offense
  • Expect to see a big game from Ajayi

Key Injuries/Questionable

MIA: Jarvis Landry, Tony Lippett, Jordan Phillips 

NYJ: Quincy Enunwa, Muhammad Wilkerson, Brian Winters

Oakland vs Washington: Oakland wins by 3

  • Key points: Raiders looking to go 3-0 for the first time since 2002
  • Washington has beat Oakland last two times they have faced off
  • Kirk Cousins looks questionable this season and against another good defense it won’t be easy for Cousins to get going
  • A big RB question mark for Washington leaves this offense in a disarray, plus Chowder has not lived up to expectations.
  • Look for Derek Carr to continue to exploit defense’s deep and especially this Washington defense.
  • Except for another big game from Michael Crabtree-Derek Carr combination.

Key Injuries/Questionable: 

OAK: Sean Smith

WSH: Jordan Reed, Rob Kelley 

NFLDallas vs Arizona: Arizona wins by 3

  • Key points: Last time Dallas beat Arizona was on Nov. 12, 2006
  • Dallas has not beat Arizona in the last four times the two have met
  • Dallas needs to look to get Ezekiel Elliott back and getting some confidence going
  • Dallas has a few injuries at the WR option but Witten is the “guy” for Prescott
  • Wake up game for Dez Bryant?
  • Arizona without David Johnson another week, look for Chris Johnson to see an expanded role
  • Arizona without John Brown also, look for J.J. Nelson to see a lot of targets again  
  • A good game to get Larry Fitzgerald going?
  • Carson Palmer must show signs of improvement and help lead this team
  • With both teams banged up throughout the roster, look for a defensive game, not too high scoring

ARI: David Johnson, Deone Bucannon, Jermaine Gresham
