Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire Adds For Tonight

Fantasy Hockey may be a little dull tonight which means this is a perfect time to monitor the waiver wire and pick up a quick fix for your line up. The week is coming to an end soon and there will be only one day this week where every NHL team plays. The points are needed and you must take advantage of dead days like today.

Waiver Wire Forwards:

Bryan Rust: 8% owned. Plays the first line with Sidney Crosby and Jake Gunetzel we can expect Rust to be mixing it up in front and either putting a garbage goal home or just contributing to the HIT/SHOT total.

Andrew Ladd: 15% owned. Played in the Western Conference before so he knows how these West Coast games go, he scored last game vs St. Louis and plays power play two and a top-six role, he has 1G, 1A, 5 shots and 3 hits on the year.

Nail Yakupov: 3% owned. The Yak attack has been red hot this season getting off to a good start and plays alongside Matt Duchene and Alex Kerfoot on line one and plays on the power play two. He buried two goals and an assist last time vs Boston and with the confidence, he’s got it may be beneficial to ride the wave.

Tyler Bozak: 16% owned. It never hurts to have a top-six Maple Leafs forward in your line up, on any given night these guys can produce. Bozak plays alongside JVR and Marner, he has 1G, 3A, 7 SOG and 4 hits.

Waiver Wire Defenseman:

Damon Severson: Just 14% owned in Yahoo leagues. He is only in the mix of things for New Jersey and plays an offensive defenseman role, he has yet to collect a point this season but plays on the Devils first power play and top four defensive pairing. Severson has 6 SOG and 4 Hits this season.

Brian Dumoulin: Just 1% owned in Yahoo leagues, and with Ian Cole out, Dumoulin steps up to that first defensive pairing with Kris Letang. Dumoulin will also be on the second power-play unit with Justin Schultz. On a night like this, Dumoulin is a favorable add.

Brandon Montour: Just 5% owned in Yahoo leagues and with Anaheim’s injuries on the blueline Montour will be a top-four defenseman. He has logged, 1A, 8 SOG and 3 hits so far this season. Montour will be on the first power play as well, this is a high reward pick up.
