Fantasy Hockey News/Injury Update!

Zach Praise, Praise underwent successful back surgery and is said to be back in 8-10 weeks. For the 33-year-old who has been a disappointment as of lately with Minnesota, I am not even sure I would stream this guy as a waiver wire pick up. But he is worth the consideration, pick your poison. Also other Minnesota Wild news, Mikael Granlund is back, but the Wild are struggling tremendously and hurting a ton. Granlund will not be that same player he was last year. I would honestly trade him before it is too late.

Justin Schultz went out of Tuesday’s game with concussion-like symptoms and it is official he is said to be out with a concussion, and the way concussions are monitored nowadays, Schultz could easily be out for a month or so. Consider these waiver wire defenseman,  Jason Demers, Oil Maatta, Chris Weidman.

Nolan Patrick also left the other night vs Anaheim after taking a gruesome hit from Ducks forward Chris Wagner Tuesday night. As it appears right now they are monitoring Patrick but it did not look too great and if it is a concussion, again he can be out for a month plus but right now he is ruled out for Thursday vs Ottawa. The Flyers second overall pick from the 2017 Draft has been plagued with injuries since his time in the WHL, if Patrick is out longer than expected, what could this mean for the Flyers future..?

Andre Burakovsky expected to miss 6-8 weeks after undergoing thumb surgery. A huge blow to the Capitals top six and possibly your fantasy line up as Burakovsky is an LW, RW and provides good flexibility in your line up.

Cam Fowler was put on the injured reserve(IR) the other day, so yeah that means go pick Hampus Lindholm or Brandon Montour if available.

Jeff Carter was listed on the IR after a weird ankle injury and the Kings have said this was a freak accident and it is appearing to be worse than they believe, he is expected to miss extended time, possibly all the way until the All-Star break!

Tuukka Rask practiced Tuesday and is slotted as a possibility to start Tuesday.

Jonathan Marchessault activated off the IR and Vadim Shipachyacov was sent down to the AHL.
