NHL: Flyers’ First Line Comes Through Again, Postgame 11/10

The Philadelphia Flyers defeated the Chicago Blackhawks last night by a score of 3-1 at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. The win was the 14th regular season victory in a row for the Flyers against the Hawks in Philadelphia.

NHLRather unsurprisingly, the Flyers’ top line of Giroux-Couturier-Voracek combined for seven points on the night. Voracek and Giroux both with a goal and two assists, Couturier with a goal as well. Goaltender Brian Elliott made 38 saves last night, a good sign after somewhat of a rocky start to his regular season. Conor Murphy scored the lone Blackhawks goal late in the second period.

The Flyers now move to 8-6-2 on the season, and are in action again Saturday night against the Wild in Philadelphia.
