The Philadelphia Flyers (8-6-2) will host the Minnesota Wild (6-7-2) tonight at Wells Fargo Center in the first of a home and home between the two teams. Jason Zucker became the first player in Wild history to score five straight team goals after a hat trick on Thursday, and will look to continue the streak in Philadelphia. Brian Elliott will get the start for the Flyers after an impressive 38-save outing Thursday against the Blackhawks.
Claude Giroux has six points in a three-game point streak for Philadelphia, and this kind of production is expected to continue as long as the Flyers first line remains intact. The team hopes the forward depth can begin to produce more and give the Giroux-Couturier-Voracek line some much needed support. Nolan Patrick will not be in the lineup due to an upper body injury.
The next game in the home and home will be Tuesday in Minnesota.
