The Fish Tank: NHL Picks Out West

Philadelphia Flyers(8-7-2) vs Minnesota Wild (7-7-2)

Tonight in the state of hockey the Philadelphia Flyers try to make a statement on the road. Brian Elliott will make the start tonight as the Flyers are coming off a loss against the Wild in their own barn losing 1-0. The Wild have shown flashes that they can play and compete as of late but can they hold up against a now hungry Flyers team who just lost to this team the other night? The Flyers will squeeze out a win tonight in Minny. Flyers 3-2

Arizona Coyotes (2-14-3) vs Winnipeg Jets (9-4-3)

The mighty Coyotes enter north to Canada to face the hot Winnipeg Jets. The Coyotes need the help from all four lines to score and help out the top line. The Coyotes have been relying on their rookie Clayton Keller and the top line to score but no other line can support. Not to mention the issues Arizona has in net. On the other side, Winnipeg has been playing great hockey as of late and it shows all around with Connor Hellebuyck playing like he is the real deal and the top guys producing like Mark Scheifele, Patrik Laine and Blake Wheeler. With the red hot Jets at home tonight, Arizona will not pull through. Jets 5-2

Vegas Golden Knights (10-5-1) vs Edmonton Oilers (6-9-2)

The Golden Knights go on the road to face the Edmonton Oilers. Sounds scary looking at it on paper, however the Oilers have been brutal at home this season and head coach Todd Mclellan has made that statement public. The Knights have been battling on the road with trying to prove to everybody that they do not need a home crowd to win. This game will come down to the final seconds or overtime allowing Connor McDavid to do what he does best and control the overtime play. Oilers 3-2

Vancouver Canucks (8-7-2) vs Los Angeles Kings (11-4-2)

Canucks enter the Staples Center tonight to face the Kings. Many are sold on the Kings and how well they started the season and their record etc. But look at their opponent, the Canucks were projected to be a bottom team in the league. It is still early in the year, but as of now they have shown that they can play without the Sedin twins taking up all the attention. Travis Green has done a great job so far and the way that they are playing they could steal a game tonight in LA. Canucks 4-3
