Tampa Bay Lightning(17-5-2) vs Boston Bruins(10-8-4)

Who will we see in net for Boston, Anton Khudobin or Tuukka Rask? The goalie situation in Boston is mind-blowing. The fact Tuukka Rask has been this bad is still of shock to me. The Bruins are a medicore team at best and even home ice does not scare me vs the Lightning. The Lightning are going back to back though after a shutout win vs Buffalo, the Lightning may be looking to go with Petr Budaj, who has been terrible this season. The Bruins are hurting on the offensive side of things and the Lightning are the complete opposite as they have a magnitude of forwards to choose from, I like the Lightning.

Ottawa Senators(8-8-6) vs Montreal Canadiens(10-12-3)

Talk about a wrong turn of events for the Senators just a couple of weeks ago this team had three losses and now they have dropped six straight. Coming into Montreal will not be an easy win especially with a hot Carey Price in net. The Canadiens will rely heavily on Price again tonight as we can expect the Senators offense to throw a ton of shots towards the net. We can expect this game to be low scoring as well, as both offenses have not been at best lately. Tonight I like Ottawa though, something needs to give with this team and a divisional rival match up is always a good way to get going in the right direction.

Anaheim Ducks(10-10-4) vs St. Louis Blues(17-6-1)

Some Western Conference cross-divisional matchup tonight as the Blues welcome the Ducks for first of three meetings between the two. The league-leading Blues have been on a roll this season and it starts with Braydon Schenn, Jaden Schwartz, and Vladimir Tarasenko, the highest scoring line in the league and all three of these players have 29 plus points, the scary part is Tarasenko has the least points of the three. The Ducks are struggling on the offensive side of things though and it does not help when their first and second line centers are Chris Wagner and Derek Grant. The Ducks got shelled Monday night vs Chicago and we would not be surprised if that happened again tonight. Easy St. Louis choice here.

Winnipeg Jets(15-6-3) vs Colorado Avalanche(11-9-2)

The Jets slotted seven home the other night vs Wild, and nothing will change as they head into Colorado. Ok, maybe not seven goals but the Jets offense will not slow down. Patrik Laine was not involved in the scoring frenzy so let’s expect to see him on the board tonight. The Avalanche are definitely a major surprise this season but going against one of the league’s best right now is not a game they are expected to win, nor will they win. Jets offense stays hot, Colorado keeps it closer than we think. Jets tonight.
