NHL News: Rakell, Crawford Injured Reserve, Sedin’s 1,000 point

Rickard Rakell missed six straight games and did not travel with Anaheim on their road trip, well after missing six games the Ducks have officially listed Rakell on the injured reserve with an “upper body” injury. AND the┬álong list of the Ducks problems continue. Now with Rakell out, the Ducks are missing, Kesler, Getzlaf, Kase, Eaves on the front end. I cannot see this team actually scoring goals now though, where the hell is the goal scoring going to come from? Adam Henrique? Corey Perry? Derek Grant? Chirs Wagner? Jakub Silfverberg? This team is hurting and if Getzlaf does not come back soon(expected to be mid-December) the playoffs are going to slowly slip through the cracks.

Corey Crawford also hit the injured reserve today the Blackhawks have said it is an undisclosed injury. With the vagueness of this listing who knows how long Crawford is out for. And the last thing the Blackhawks need is sub-par goaltending to go along with their awful blue line. If Anton Forsberg does not step up and help the Hawks string together some wins while Crawford is out the Hawks will have some trouble come later in the year.

Daniel Sedin tallies 1001 points with Vancouver Canucks! Sedin is the 19th player all-time to score 1000 points with one franchise. During his tenure in Vancouver, he has played 1,251 games, scored 376 goals, 82 game-winning goals, 131 power play goals, 15 overtime goals, 3337 shots, 625 assists, a +164 plus/minus and an 11.3 shooting percentage. Congrats to Daniel and all his success!
