NHL: Schultz, Luongo injury updates, Fleury, Getzlaf returning soon

Justin Schultz:  IR with a lower-body injury, Schultz left Tuesday’s game after suffering an injury. Schultz has battled with injuries all season, playing just 23 games this season collecting 2 goals and 8 assists. This move to the IR most likely means Schultz is out for the next three games.

Roberto Luongo: IR with a groin injury. This injury could be the end of the 38-year-old successful career. Luongo hit his groin on a freak play, after making a simple lick save, it appeared Luongo pulled a groin muscle resulting in him to be pulled from the game and missing 6-8 weeks.

TJ Oshie: DTD, after suffering a blow to the head from Joe Thornton, Oshie has missed last game vs Blackhawks and is being monitored from day to day. It appears Oshie has passed necessary concussion tests but has not practiced since the injury Monday and it seems he will be out for Thursday’s game as well.

Ben Bishop: DT, after suffering a sore back, the Stars have listed Bishop as day to day and have ruled him out for Thursday’s contest. This is nothing long term though.

Jakob Silfverberg: DTD, he did not appear on the Ducks ice for the morning skate yesterday and he did not play as a result. That was Silfverberg’s fourth game in a row missed and right now it is unlikely of his return.

Marc Andre Fleury: Practiced in Wednesday’s practice is likely to return very soon, if not this week, definitely next week. This is great news for the Golden Knights and fantasy owners. Fleury will be back by next week for sure if I had to guess.

Ryan Getzlaf: It appeared Getzlaf was going to be out until after the All-Star break but everything seems to be going well in his rehab and recovery and it seems as if the Ducks number one center will be returning in mid-December. If I had to guess it would be around December 17th.
