Most Popular Drivers Named In NASCAR’s National Touring Series

As award season wrapped up this year, NASCAR named the winners of the Most Popular Driver Award recipients, as voted by the fans. There is one recipient per national touring series. Chase Briscoe, driver of the no. 29 Ford F150 truck for Brad Keselowski Racing won the award in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. In the NASCAR Xfinity Series, Elliott Sadler won the award driving with the no. 1 Jr Motorsports Chevy Camaro. And for the 15th consecutive time, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., driver of the no. 88 Hendrick Motorsports Chevy SS, won the Most Popular Driver Award in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series.

 

Jack Ingram Hospitalized After Car Accident

NASCAR Hall of Famer Jack Ingram was involved in a crash on Sunday, resulting in serious injuries. Ingram, who was inducted into the Hall of Fame as part of the 2014 class, was taken into the intensive care unit at Mission Hospital after colliding with another driver, who hit Ingram’s vehicle in the driver side door, according to police.

 

Kyle Busch Wins 2017 Snowball Derby

Kyle Busch won the coveted Snowball Derby at Five Flags Speedway in Florida on Sunday. Busch, who drives the no. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, entered this year’s Snowball Derby with a win in the late-model event in 2009. This year marked the 50th anniversary of the event. Busch led 17 of the 300 laps run and took the checkered flag.
