Boston Bruins(20-10-5) vs Washington Capitals(22-13-3): The Bruins have been on absolute fire since getting a healthy lineup and solid goaltending from Tuukka Rask. The Bruins are currently on a five-game winning streak and are 8-1-1 in the last ten. While the Capitals are coming off a tough shootout loss to the Rangers Wednesday night a back to back for both teams is going to be killer. Another NBCSN game for the Capitals though and currently sit two points behind the Devils for first. This is going to be a tight one, and Tuukka Rask vs Braden Holtby will be the deciding factor, a heavy special teams game as both teams are going to be a bit sluggish to start. A back to back like this, the rivalry here we can expect a close low scoring game. Going Capitals tonight.
Montreal Canadiens(16-17-4) vs Tampa Bay Lightning(26-7-2): Tampa was one of the few teams not playing last night as Montreal was and they lost a tough one to Carolina and stay on the road and head to Tampa Bay. The Canadiens are not a consistent team nor a team anyone can put their confidence in. Tampa Bay a top team in the league, one of the best offenses, and absolutely rolling right now. Easy choice Lightning tonight.
Philadelphia Flyers(15-13-8) vs Florida Panthers(15-16-5): Both of these teams didn’t play last night so a well-rested, hard-fought game is in store. This is the second time these two are meeting expect the first one Philadelphia welcomed the Panthers and won 5-1, this time the Panthers welcome the Flyers. Not many expected James Reimer to be playing like this, winning a star of the week nomination, the Panthers new goaltender has helped them stay afloat in the middle of the league right now. Philadelphia has bounced back nicely since their 10-game losing streak but not enough to make them a wild card contender right now. Tonight I am going Flyers tho.
Toronto Maple Leafs(22-14-1) vs Arizona Coyotes(9-25-5): Toronto, no way Arizona goes back to back wins and especially the Toronto Maple Leafs getting Matthews back and not playing last night, they are well rested and absolutely going to win this game. Wouldn’t be surprised if it was 8-0.
Chicago Blackhawks(17-13-5) vs Vancouver Canucks(15-17-5): Free game of the night as Chicago heads to an injury-riddled Vancouver team to continue their winning ways. Expect this time it will be without Corey Crawford in net and Anton Forsberg will have a nice easy segway game back into the starting spot for the Hawks. The Hawks are 5-4-1 in their last ten and sit two points out of a wild-card spot right now. A win is a must and win is what they will get tonight.
Vegas Golden Knights(24-9-2) vs Los Angeles Kings(22-11-4): Another NBCSN game tonight and it’s Vegas, this is going to be a televised game that will have a ton of eyes on it, as Vegas is currently first in the Pacific only two points behind the Kings whom they are playing. Vegas is 9-0-1 in their last ten and the Kings are 6-3-1 in their last ten. this is going to be a battle for the division lead and this time it comes to the Kings home ice. Vegas going back to back, while the Kings are rested and did not play last night, could play a Kings win. You just never know with this Vegas team and as of now, I am going Kings but this is one my least confident picks of the day.
Calgary Flames(18-15-3) vs San Jose Sharks(19-11-4): Sharks and Flames did not play tonight so we will see Mike Smith and Martin Jones in net. These two I just don’t know about, very inconsistent teams and the Flames are for sure more inconsistent then the Sharks. The sit two points out of a wild-card spot as the Sharks are currently third in the Pacific. The Flames are 4-4-2 in their last ten and the Sharks are 5-3-2 in their last ten, very identical records in their last ten games and tonight I am going to the home team, safe bet. Going Sharks.
