NHL Injury news and updates

Chris Kreider hits the injured reserve(IR) after leaving Wednesday nights game, playing just 5:04 of ice time. Kreider was hesitant to play Wednesday but after being cleared by team doctors, he was given the ok to play. Unfortunately, the situation did not get better and Kreider wad forced to leave the game and report to the hospital. After the hospital visit was complete, it was diagnosed that Kreider has a blood clot in his arm and is currently out indefinitely.

Mark Scheifele, hits the IR for 6-8 weeks after an apparent upper-body injury. Nobody is sure if it is a broken collarbone, shoulder dislocation, AC joint, etc but as of now, Scheifele is going to be sidelined for the next four weeks minimum and possibly more than even six weeks. This is a blow to Winnipeg as Scheifele is the one center was currently tallying 38 points(15 goals, 23 assists) in 38 games. More news on Winnipeg is that Dustin Byfuglien is currently eyeing a January 1st return and Toby Enstrom could be looking at longer.

Matt Murray is currently AGAIN listed as day-to-day, how many times can this guy be listed as day to day this year. He is currently listed with an upper-body injury and it seems like nothing serious but, Murray has not been playing like a starting goaltender and more injury news could be detrimental to the young goaltender.
