2018 Team Preview – Chip Ganassi Racing

One of the newer teams in NASCAR’s top series, Chip Ganassi Racing has been steady in their racing, though not always a contender. In 2017, however, Kyle Larson led an impressive charge against the dominant Toyotas. McMurray also posted impressive and consistent results, showing that Chip Ganassi Racing would be a force to reckon with moving forward.

2018 Outlook: Despite not having won a race since the fall of 2013, Jamie McMurray has made huge improvements and strides over the last two seasons. He has become a consistent top-10 finisher and is continuing to inch towards another win. With the help of teammate Kyle Larson and the newfound power in Chip Ganassi Racing, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Jamie McMurray walked away with a win or two in 2018.

2018 Outlook: Coming off of a breakout year, Kyle Larson will look to continue to build upon what he has established in 2017. While the year may have ended poorly, 2017 was a huge step for Kyle Larson and the entire no. 42 team. If Larson is able to advance to Homestead-Miami as one of the final four, there’s no question that he can win the championship. Watch closely for Kyle Larson to try to improve his finish to the season in 2018.
