Around this time of year, NHL clubs start signing their recent draft picks to entry-level deals so they do not burn out their contracts and the prospects get to be brought up for the remainder of the regular season and possible post season. Dylan Sikura of Northeastern signed and has reported to the Blackhawks. As he was seen on the ice during today’s morning skate.
Will Borgen of St. Cloud State, signed a 3-year ELC and was seen on the ice for Buffalo this morning.
CJ Suess of Minnesota State University has signed his 3-year ELC with Winnipeg and was seen on the ice today.
Jordan Greenway of Boston University has signed his ELC with Minnesota and was reported on the ice this morning.
Ryan Donato of Harvard as we know signed his ELC with Boston and has been playing the last few games with the club.
Casey Mittelstadt of Minnesota University has agreed to terms with Buffalo and will join the club this week sometime.
Other names that are not rostered to NCAA teams but have been called up are Filip Chytil of the New York Ranger and Liass Andersson, both have reported to practice and will play in Monday nights match-up vs Washington. Chytil will be on a line with Zuccarello and Hayes and Andersson will be on a line with Spooner and Vesey.
Eeli Tolvanen has agreed to an ELC with Nashville and will be joining the club soon. Tolvananen’s KHL team was eliminated from the playoffs recently and that is why he will be joining Nashville.
