Mcdavid tallies 100 points. Again.
Connor McDavid tallied his 100th point the other night vs Columbus and the sky is blue. As if this people came into this year thinking he was not going to tally 100 points. Most certainly at points, we could have assumed he was not going to do it but assuming usually never pans out and of course it did not here. McDavid has put up High School hockey numbers in his last 29 games tallying 26G, 23A, and 49 points. I mean those numbers in the NHL is unfair, are we sure this man is actually real. McDavid also is only the seventh player in NHL history to record back-to-back 100 point seasons before his 22nd birthday. McDavid also just turned 21 two months ago. So he’ll be on his way to another 100-point season for his 22nd birthday. You look at this guys career numbers and he is posting 251 points in 205 games. TWO HUNDRED FIFTY POINTS. That is 1.22 points per game for his career as he is already a 1.31 point per game player. Yeah, let’s remember this guy is not a machine also.
McDavid has already surpassed his point total from last year but this year and last years Oilers team have been like night and day, a playoff team making some noise in the postseason to being eliminated around the 30-game mark. The bright part is that they have McDavid and anyone you slot next to this kid is going to end up scoring 20 plus goals and having a career year. Yeah, remember Patrick Maroon, only relevant when next to McDavid, traded to the Devils and he has tallied 8 points in 13 games, good but he’s also only scored two goals. On top of that McDavid has come into the Art Ross race now as the favorite and more than likely a favorite to win it. He has four games to play with a six-point lead on the next person. It’s fair to say that this kid is on another planet and it sucks because the awards are going to be dominated by this twenty-year-old for the next 8 years. Anyways does anyone remember McDavid’s 100th point and a 3-point game that night, it is plain and simple why this kid is so good. He wants the puck more than anyone else, put that with the speed of a cheetah, and mind of Albert Einstein, smarts and talent is a good reason why McDavid is one, if not the best in the world. For those that missed this marvels 3-point night here it is, now go change your shorts.
