Fantasy Hockey Players of the Week (Nov.26-Dec.2)

Johnathan Huberdeau: The Panthers are not playing all that well this year but Hubby had himself a week. Huberdeau led the Panthers to two wins this week in four games. Huberdeau managed to record 2 goals and 7 assists on the week, recording two assists in three of the four games. Huberdeau now has 6 goals and 22 assists on the year.

Mark Scheifele: The Jets best forward through and through, Scheif had himself a great week. Scoring the game-winning goal vs the Devils Saturday night and the game winning shootout goal vs the Rangers Sunday night. On the week Scheifele had 5 goals, 3 assists and now has an even 16 goals and 16 assists. Scheif is 11th in the league in scoring and is just getting going.

Nicolas Backstrom: With a banged up Evgeny Kuznestov for a few games this week Backstrom stepped up big time and continues to be the Capitals most integral player up and down the ice. Backstrom is more known for his unbelievable play making ability and defensive play but this week Backstrom managed to score 4 goals with 4 assists also. On the year Backstrom has 10 goals and 23 assists, making him 10th in the league in assists.

Pontus Aberg: Due to Aberg’s two goals Sunday vs Washington the Ducks were able to manage a huge 4-1 comeback and win 6-5. Aberg also record a goal vs the Hurricanes in the Ducks 2-1 win, along with two assists vs Tampa Bay in the Ducks first win of the week. Aberg is trending upwards now after a big week on the year he has 9 goals and 5 assists.

Pierre-Luc Dubois: The Blue Jackets two wins this week were in large part thanks to players like Dubois. On the week the young up and coming forward had 3 goals and 3 assists. In the Jackets two wins he had 2 goals, 1 assist vs Detroit and 2 assists vs Minnesota. On the year Dubois now has 13 goals and 12 assists, watch out for this kid (he is owned in 82% of leagues also..)
