Should the Knicks trade for John Wall?

The New York Knicks have been waiting for ages for a dynamic point guard. Rumors and speculations have surfaced online that the Knicks are currently gathering assets to make a trade for Washington Wizard’s star John Wall.

The Wall era in Washington has been rather disappointing. The team has underperformed the past couple of seasons and struggled to make it to the conference finals in the weak eastern conference. In addition to that, Wall signed a $170 million contract extension back in the summer of 2017 and that contract may haunt the Wizards if they continue to hold on to him. Wall, Bradley Beal, and Otto Porter are currently the highest paid players on the roster. If the Wizards want to land a big fish in free agency, they are going to have to let go of one of these players.

Wall has gathered a bad reputation in Washington through the years, butting heads with coach Scott Brooks, former teammate Marcin Gortat and calling out his teammates. With the Wizards not playing up to standards and constant frustration going on in the organization, a new home for Wall may lie in the Big Apple.

The duo of John Wall and Kristaps Porzingis along with Tim Hardaway Jr, Kevin Knox, and Allonzo Trier sounds like a stepping stone into a winning culture for the Knicks. The Knicks need a dynamic point guard who is going to slash up the defense and make plays. Wall can help the Knicks in an area they have been suffering in for ages.

The Knicks have plenty of assets to use as trade bait, particularly, Enes Kanter, Lance Thomas, Frank Ntilikina, Trey Burke, Courtney Lee, and Emmanuel Mudiay. The Untouchables would include Kevin Knox, Tim Hardaway Jr., Mitchell Robinson, Kristaps Porzingis and rising player Allonzo Trier.

Wall, 28, is entering the prime of his career. He is currently averaging around 21 points and 8 assists on the season. Despite all the drama surrounding him, Wall is still a special player who may need a fresh new start.

Whatever the Knicks decide to do, winning should be the priority. If the Knicks do trade for Wall, they need to build right away for playoff contention. If they don’t, developing their young talent and rebuilding for at least two more years isn’t a bad option. The Knicks would have to take on a contract that will last all through Wall’s prime. Either way, the Knicks decide to go, there isn’t a bad route in this situation.

NBA Playoff Picks for April 27th, 2018 / LeBron take

The NBA playoffs have been an absolute rollercoaster keeping fans drawn to the TV

Creds to theshadowleague.com

LeBron’s game winner against the Pacers was epic. No matter what you consider LeBron to be, #1 or #2; he’s an absolute national treasure. Is he supremely cocky? Of course, I would be too if I was rich by the time I graduated high school. Being considered an all time great just fuels the fire as well. LeBron pulling the struggling Cavs team along just proves his dominance as well. We’ll see just how far he can take it..

Washington Home against the Raptors

The Raptors are insanely good at home. They’ve had no problem whatsoever handling the Wizards at home in the series. On the road, it’s a scary sight. Losing by 19 on 4/20 as well by 8 on 4/22.

WIZARDS -1.5

I think since the Wizards are home, roles will reverse just for tonight. I think it’ll be a close game considering the Raptors skill level. They will probably just miss a ton of shots. I can see the Wizards by 4 or 5 let’s find out.

Pacers at home vs. the Cavs

PACERS -1.5

The Cavs are coming off a nice last minute game winner from LBJ to put them ahead in the series 3-2. It’s a great thing for the Cavs, giving them some breathing room to win the series.

I think they will lose one however, tonight. The Pacers in Cleveland controlled the game in the first half, ultimately losing it in the second half. I think if the Cavs struggle to score, the Pacers will win and tie the series, setting up a pivotal Game 7.

Jazz at home vs. the Thunder

OKC +6.5

The Jazz at home in the playoffs are 7-3 the last 10. The Thunder definitely have the firepower to try and beat this in-form Jazz team, but I still think it won’t be enough to win tonight against the Jazz. I can see the Jazz sending Russ and company home, in a terrible fashion. The Thunder will hopefully keep it close, considering they are facing elimination on the road. Take the points if needed.

Good luck!

Free NBA Picks for February 10th, 2018

Last night we saw the Celts fall behind after coming back from 20+ failing to cover their spread taking the L. We saw 2 of our picks succeed as the Jazz beat the Hornets by 12. The Rockets did as they were supposed too and beat the Nuggets by 26.

6-3-1 over the past 3 days. 3 picks here tonight

Wizards -6.0 vs the Chicago Bulls

10475278

The once red hot Wizards travel into Chicago on a 6-4 run the past 10. The Bulls are 2-8 the last ten, posting a 12-14 home record. The Wizards lost a close one to the East’s best team in OT. They could be tired tonight, but the Wizards have been playing better without the focus of John Wall. I think they could be gassed, but they are too talented to not cover against a young-injury riddled Chicago Bulls team. I see the Wizards winning by 6 or 7. Take the points if you can. I don’t think it will be a blowout, it should be a close one.

The Wizards won by 4 the last time they both played, under different circumstances of course.

Warriors -11.0 vs the San Antonio Spurs

Golden State Warriors Memphis Grizzlies game at Oracle Arena in Oakland

The Warriors are at home as they face the injury riddled San Antonio Spurs. The Warriors are 20-7 at home this year. The Spurs are 13-15 on the road. The last time these two met, the Warriors won by 22.

The Spurs will be missing Tony Parker and DeJounte Murray, going against the Warriors amazing starting lineup. Without Kawhi Leonard, the Spurs will be exposed to all sorts of  misery as I can see Dub Nation going 15+ over the Spurs. Roll with the best team in the NBA.

Lakers +2.0 vs the Dallas Mavericks

700510245

The Lakers ride into Dallas on a 4 game winning streak. The Lakers are 8-2 the last 10 games. The Mavs are 2-8 the last 10. Despite the trades, I believe the Lakers should have enough fire power to beat a Dallas team which can be streaky at times. If the Mavs hit their shots early, they hit the shots throughout the game.

The Lakers should win this won by 5 or 6. If the Mavs play terrible it could be worse. The Lakers could also lose by 2 or 3. Which also covers the spread. Take the points here as well, it should be a close game.
