NFL Week 6 Game Picks

Week 6 in the NFL has some promising action for the fans. Five games stand out with none of the following having heavy favorite teams. These are the predictions for Week 6:
1. (TNF) Eagles @ Panthers

  • This Thursday we have a great matchup in front of us as the Eagles go on the road to face the Panthers. Both teams fall under the same boat in regards to schedule wise. Both teams have not had a real test to their abilities, however both offenses look like they can get the job done. With Cam Newton on fire the past couple of weeks, the Panthers should be able to get the job done at home on Thursday Night.

  1. Steelers @ Chiefs
  • The undefeated Chiefs square off against the rattled Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers are coming off a week where they lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars at home with Ben Roethlisberger throwing five interceptions. Big Ben questioned himself in a post-game interview on whether he still has “it” or not. With the Steelers unsure about how their QB will perform, the heavily powered Chiefs will take home the W this week.

  1. Rams @ Jaguars
  • The Rams go into Jacksonville this Sunday to face the Jaguars. The Jags are coming off a big week taking down the Steelers at Heinz Field. Leonard Fournette has established himself as a top RB in the league and all the Jags need is a steady QB which they have in Blake Bortles. The Rams did however have an off week last week with their bell cow Todd Gurley only held to under 45 rush yards. The Rams will not bounce back this week as the Jags will hold them off at home.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers v Jacksonville Jaguars

  1. Buccaneers @ Cardinals
  • Tampa Bay is coming off a long week where they played last Thursday night falling to the Patriots. The Bucs more than likely should have left that game with a W if it was not for a poor kicking performance from Nick Folk. Doug Martin returned to action last Thursday and made an impact with over 70 yards rushing and a rushing TD. The Cardinals fell to the Eagles on the road last week and added Adrian Peterson to try to fix the awful run game. Peterson will not have an immediate impact and the run game will still be a mess putting too much pressure on Carson Palmer.

New Orleans Saints v Tampa Bay Buccaneers

  1. Packers @ Vikings
  • The Packers are rolling into Week 6 coming off a big win in Dallas with a 4th quarter drive to beat the Cowboys. While on the other side the Vikings are coming off a win but barely beating the Bears with a poor QB performance and the early exit of top receiver Stefon Diggs. The Packers have been missing their top RB Ty Montgomery due to a rib injury. With Montgomery out, the Packers seem to have found their new RB in Aaron Jones coming off a great week on the ground. With the Vikings looking to bounce back this week at home, the Packers will march into Minneapolis and come out with a W.

Pittsburgh Steelers: NFL Preview 2017-18, Weak Schedule, Depth at WR

Next Preseason game Saturday, August 26 vs Indianapolis Colts 7:30 P.M.

Current Preseason 2017 record 2-0

Win vs Atlanta 17-13 & Win vs Giants 23-20

 Pittsburgh Steelers 2017-2018 Prediction: 10-6

Is there somewhere out there that ranks NFL teams schedules? If not, then I’ll tell you right now the Steelers definitely have a favorable schedule, on the easier, per se. Ending and opening the season up with Cleveland are two sure wins. Then the next eight weeks they play two teams that pose a threat, Kansas City, and Baltimore, which are still possible wins. After their bye week, they face the Packers and Patriots, only two threats on their whole schedule. But it’s no surprise the Steelers have a chance to win 12 games and a minimum of 10 games next season.

With an offense led by big-old, battered up Big Ben Roethlisberger, the Steelers look to again make a deep playoff run. Roethlisberger, despite being 35-years-old and out of his “prime” continues to be the backbone to this teams success. With a ton of depth at the wide out position, on top Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell star power. These two are top players in the NFL, it can’t hurt to have them both causing headaches for opposing defenses throughout the season. The Steelers always play a consistent defensive game also(great fantasy defense option if you need a consistent 5-8 points a week), with a defense led by Stephen Tuitt on the offensive line, and a linebacker core of  Ryan Shazier and James Harrison, and a secondary of Sean Davis, the defense supports the offense quite well. The Steelers only managed to give up 68 rushing yards per game, ranking 4th among NFL teams(2016).

I think it’s fair to say Pittsburgh will handle their own and glide into the playoffs and even possibly win the division, the Steelers will be left right where they left off last season just this team and Steeler fans hope to see a win in the Conference Championships. Despite the obvious, some players on the offensive side and defensive side that will make a major impact for Pittsburgh next season are:

WATCH OUT FOR Martavis Bryant, after his suspension is up Bryant will more than likely serve a WR2 option, and Bryant has shown some great strides this preseason and hopes to make an impact after serving his suspension.

WATCH OUT FOR Sammie Coates, with Bryant suspended, Coates will be an undervalued WR for Steelers. Coates can still fly and be a solid WR2/WR3 option while Bryant is out.

WATCH OUT FOR Artie Burns: Burns had 52 total tackles, 3 interceptions during his first year with Pittsburgh, with a ton of tools on this defense, Burns will be an emerging CB to keep an eye this season as he will be a big part of the Steelers defense.
